Michelle Correia – LME

Michelle Correia, is the owner/operator at Purely Skin, PLLC. She specializes in several anti-aging treatments, including Ultherapy, photo-facials, scar revision, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser hair removal. Rosacea and acne treatments are also part of her repertoire. A medically trained Aesthetician and laser technician for the past 16+ years, Michelle has a keen ability to consult and design a skin care regimen to fit individual patient needs.

     Her philosophy regarding improvements in skincare goes beyond a continuous expansion and use of technology and specific products. After receiving her diploma from Pierre’s Aesthetic School, she attended the International Dermal Institute in Boston. Committed to being on the cutting edge of new products and technology, Michelle continues to participate in skincare and laser conferences and seminars throughout the country. She has also performed over 1000 successful Ultherapy treatments and has become a consultant to the Ulthera company.

     Her goals include both professional development and patient awareness. She continues to stay abreast of all new skincare techniques while educating her clients on the prevention of aging skin and the improvement of existing skin conditions. As well as obtaining multiple advanced training certifications, Michelle is recognized as an “Ultra” Ultherapy treatment provider. Her services have also been shown to build self-confidence, which is evidenced by her number of repeat clients.

Dr. Mark Ballentyne, M.D.

After serving as Family Practice Chief Resident in the final year of my residency at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Ballentyne practiced a broad range of medicine, focusing on internal medicine for 15 years. He was Practice Medical Director at Martin’s Point Healthcare for 10 years; prior to that, he worked in a medical group in Kennebunk, Maine. Since 2003 he has focused on Aesthetic medicine and feels honored to be the busiest provider of injectable services in NH and Maine.

     Dr. Ballentyne am board-certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and also separately by the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians. 

He is licensed to practice in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.   

One aspect of his practice is having the privilege of being a trainer for the Allergan Company. Allergan is the maker of Botox and the family of Juvederm fillers. Of about 1.2 million doctors licensed to perform injectables in the United States, only about 7% qualify to be expert injectors. In that role, he travels to practices in New England to instruct providers on the proper injection technique and, most importantly, safety while injecting.

     Dr. Ballentyne has lived in the Portsmouth, NH, area for 24 years. He is the proud father of 2 adult children. He’s an avid golfer and looks forward to spending summers at his parent's lake house in Madison, NH. 

Jeremy Libby– NP

Jeremy is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been in health care for two decades and has worked with several well-known large healthcare organizations. He has an extensive and broad range of clinical experience in acute, urgent, and primary care.  In addition, Jeremy has worked in leadership as a medical director for advanced practice providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) at a large private organization.

Jeremy specializes in the treatment of rosacea, an incurable chronic inflammatory skin disorder of the face, eyes, and neck. He became passionate about rosacea years ago when he was first personally diagnosed with the disorder and found that aesthetic lasers were the only effective therapy to really work to reverse the condition for him. Consequently, in the past 5-6 years, Jeremy has experienced an emerging and strong desire to learn and gain further experience in aesthetics and laser therapy.

Jeremy has excelled rapidly, working and training exclusively with Michelle for the past year on laser therapies in addition to attending related certified training programs. Jeremy is currently working with laser genesis and motus AZ+. He genuinely enjoys helping his clients upgrade their self-image, maintain a healthy appearance, and overcome any personal aesthetic challenges that are holding them back from living their best lives.

Jeremy graduated from University of Maine Summa Cum Laude and also Saint Joseph’s College of Maine Summa Cum Laude.

Jeremy is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Licensed in Maine

Fun Fact: Jeremy is a Maine Native, growing up in Aroostook County, Northern Maine, where he learned to pick and harvest potatoes at a young age, instilling a strong work ethic that has stayed with him. 

Jeremy enjoys playing ice hockey, hiking, reading, boating, practicing jujitsu, and spending as much quality time as possible with his family and friends.

Izzy - Business Mascot

Michelle's beloved dog, Izzy, is the business mascot for Purely Skin Aesthetics and Laser Center in Portland, Maine. On any given day you may find Izzy exploring the facility or cozying up by the fireplace like you see in the picture to the left. It has been proven that animals in the workplace bring many benefits to those working as well as the clients. Izzy the dog does just that. If you come to Purely Skin Aesthetics and Laser Center while Izzy is visiting, don't forget to say hello to Izzy. You will be glad you did.
